Sale of Investment Securities

Share Data prepares the necessary forms for your signature and then sends all the required documentation to a stockbroker to arrange sale of the shares. Then the stockbroker returns the cheque for the sale proceeds to you.

Transfer of Investment Securities

Share Data maintains a library of standard documents and wordings for signature. We provide you with the appropriate transfer form for signature and inform you of all the requirements for share transfers.

We then submit the transfer to the registrars and return the share certificates in the new name(s) to you for distribution to the new holder(s).

If you sell shares, you may be liable to Capital Gains Tax on any gain you have made. Please see our Capital Gains Tax Service for assistance with preparing your tax return.
